Health Policy Specialist

The National Alliance to Advance Adolescent Health, a non-partisan research and policy organization, is seeking a talented individual to assume a key role in its health policy activities. Responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing federal and state policies related to health reform implementation; preparing position statements and comments on proposed federal rules; and participating in child health and mental health coalitions to promote improvements in adolescent health care.

Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience in policy analysis and legislative affairs and have a law, health economics, or other relevant graduate degree. Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and CHIP is essential. Excellent analytic and problem solving skills; knowledge of health issues affecting adolescents; and excellent written and verbal skills required. Salary and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience, and less than full time commitment will be considered for individuals who can perform at a senior level.
