The National Alliance to Advance Adolescent Health Share

Our Mission

The National Alliance to Advance Adolescent Health is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of adolescents, especially those who have special needs and who are poor, by focusing greater attention and resources on their health needs and on innovative ways to address them. Our aim is to strengthen the connection of adolescents to needed health care and coverage that can help them reduce health risk behaviors, identify their health problems earlier, take on responsibility for managing their health conditions, and effectively transition to adult care. Through partnerships and coalition building, The National Alliance seeks to 1) expand the availability of adolescent-centered care, 2) increase access to mental health services, 3) ensure adequate and affordable health insurance coverage, and 4) promote effective transitions from pediatric to adult health care.
